You can now come into the library by appointment to pick out your own items! Appointments are for 20 minute increments, computer time is allowed longer when necessary. When you make your appointment please let me know if you are needing computer time so we can plan accordingly to maintain social distancing. If you would prefer we will still provide curbside services.
Please be patient with us as items are being checked back in. As due dates were pushed back to accommodate closings some of the files and pathways in the system we use were messed up. Also as items come in we place them in quarantine for 3 days before we handle them to check them in. This means that an item put in the book drop on Friday evening won’t be brought in and placed in quarantine until Tuesday. Three days of quarantine would put check-in at Friday (which would be one week after drop off). If you receive an overdue notice please understand that we do not control the automatic notices and allow a week to ten days before being concerned over any notices you are receiving.
As the number of Covid-19 cases rise in our area we will continue to do everything we can to provide you with the materials you want and need! However, we do have to think about all of our patrons and staff, which includes many who are immune-compromised when decisions are made.
As of now masks are strongly requested, but not required!
