The Kansas State Library plans to combine SnapShot Day efforts with that of other libraries across the state to deliver a powerful message that underscores the impact of libraries on the quality of life
An Emporia, Kansas shoe store owner,Alfred King, had the idea to expand Armistice Day to include all veterans, not just those who served in World War I and began a campaign to change it to “all” Veteran’s Day. President Dwight Eisenhower signed it into law on May 26, 1954. Thank you to ALL Veterans!!!
