You guessed it! The Internet is down at the Library!!! Hey the Library still has books, movies, etc. to check out. The Librarians are old schooling it today, doing everything by hand, so you can still check things out!

The Friends of the Oswego Library purchased a new Library directional sign for the highway and the city of Oswego crew installed it. Here is the NEW SIGN!!!

Today is the birthday of Lyman Frank Baum , born in Chittenango, New York (1856). It is his 1900 novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, that we remember him for today. It was a critical and commercial success, and he went on to write 13 more novels based on the Land of Oz.. The movie

The library has planned an outside workday for Friday at 4 p.m. We would love to have anyone who would like to volunteer with some yard work to come out and help. Everyone is welcome. Bring the whole family and we’ll put you to work!

I apologize for the late posting, but the Library will be closed today.  The street is so slick, making it to the sidewalk would be very hazardous.  Pulling into the library parking it was super slick and vehicles slide right up on the sidewalk.  This is a case for patron safety. The Library will reopen

The Friends of the Oswego Library held a New Year’s Eve Bash and was it great!   Over 70 adults and children attended.  Games, Karaoke and a photo booth were just some of the activities. At 9 a.m., 12 midnight in Chile.  Several traditions were observed.  Eating grapes to ensure good luck in the coming year

New movies added to the Library Collection, The Croods – Taken 2 – Jackie Chan; Tuxedo -Barbie: A Perfect Christmas and Ice Age; A Mammoth Christmas.  If Christmas movies are what you are looking for the Library has received donations of Holiday Collection DVD’s.

DVD’s Sale!!! The Library has the remainder of the DVD’s from the Friends of the Library Sale. The DVD’s are available for purchase during the Library hours. Prices are:  $1 each, $2 for DVD’s still plastic wrapped and $5 for series per group.  Still alot to choose from.

On display this month is the art of Tricia McSherry. Her art covers a wide range of subjects and displays her awesome talent. Stop by the Library and see for yourself.

OHS Students work their magic during a citywide community service day.  Inside and outside the students gave the Library that extra elbow grease cleaning and getting books in order.  Thank you!!!
