A special board meeting was called to order at 5:30, January 18 2021 in the library. Board members present were President Nancy Korinek, Secretary Kris Redburn, Carol McLeod, Paula Kern, Jan Owens and Jennie Green.
The Budget for 2021 was reviewed. Jan moved we ask Friends of the Oswego Library to provide us with documentation of their donations to the library. Motion was seconded and carried. The President appointed the treasurer to contact the FOL to obtain the information.
Paula moved we accept the budget as presented. Motion was seconded and approved.
There was a discussion about the present state of the elevator. No action was taken.
The annual evaluation of the Library Director was distributed and completed by all board members. Susan had sent her evaluation via email to the secretary.
Carol moved we give a $25 memorial to the Mound Valley Methodist Church in honor of Heather Duke’s father. Motion was seconded and carried.
Jan moved we replace the railings at the north entrance with decorative ones along with a plaque as a memorial to former long-time Library Director, Liz Turner. Motion was seconded and carried.
Paula moved we adjourn. Motion was seconded and carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:23.
